A Pixel 11 Pro reviewer is eyeing the Motorola Signature 27

An AndroidAuthority reviewer who has carried the Pixel 11 Pro as a daily driver for more than a month says the Motorola Signature 27 is enough to make them reconsider that choice, publishing a piece built around five reasons the newer phone might win out.

The account is worth taking at face value rather than skimming past: this is someone who says the cameras, design, software and performance of Google’s 2026 flagship had all been clicking, by their own description, right up until the Signature 27 showed up. That is a higher bar for a rival phone to clear than a spec-sheet comparison, since it means unseating a device the same reviewer had already picked as a long-term keeper.

What our own Pixel 11 Pro coverage already found

We reported on 2026-09-20 that the Pixel 11 Pro XL’s PixelSnap wireless charging is still slow, and five days on nothing in this new coverage suggests that has changed. We also flagged on 2026-08-26 that the Pixel 11 Pro’s camera flash is dimmer than the Pixel 10’s, a regression rather than an upgrade. Set against that, our 2026-08-25 report that the Pixel 11 Pro XL’s camera nears the iPhone 17 Pro in DxOMark testing shows the phone’s camera hardware itself is genuinely strong, which lines up with the reviewer praising the cameras specifically even as other hardware choices grate.

None of that tells us what the Signature 27 actually offers instead, since that detail sits inside the AndroidAuthority piece and wasn’t part of what reached us. But it does mean the dissatisfaction isn’t coming out of nowhere: charging speed and flash output are the kind of everyday friction that erodes a month-old daily driver faster than a benchmark chart would.

Where Motorola’s phone already has an edge on paper

The Signature 27 has already drawn attention for reasons unrelated to Google’s flagship. We previously covered GrapheneOS confirming support for the Motorola Signature 27, which matters to anyone weighing a switch: official support from a hardened, privacy-focused Android build isn’t something Motorola gets automatically, and it puts the Signature 27 in a small group of non-Pixel phones that can run it without workarounds. For a reader deciding between two flagships, that kind of software flexibility is a concrete point in Motorola’s favour that doesn’t depend on any one reviewer’s opinion.

What’s missing from the material available to us is the reviewer’s actual five-point case: which specs, price, or design choices tip the balance. Until that detail surfaces elsewhere, the safest reading is that the Pixel 11 Pro’s charging and flash shortfalls, which we’d already documented, are consistent with someone open to being talked out of it, even if they aren’t the whole story.
