NVIDIA used its GeForce NOW Gamescom 2026 announcements to add new DLSS 4.5 controls, five more PC games at cloud launch, and support for a wider range of devices, including new Steam handhelds and the Firefox browser. The update, detailed on NVIDIA’s newsroom, is the second wave of Gamescom news for the streaming service this week, following the platform’s presence at Geoff Keighley’s Opening Night Live, where the Witcher 3 remaster and other reveals dominated the show floor.
New games heading to GeForce NOW at Gamescom 2026
Five games are joining the cloud library at launch: CONTROL Resonant, Gears of War: E-Day, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, The Blood of Dawnwalker and STAR WARS Zero Company. For a limited time, NVIDIA is bundling CONTROL Resonant with any 12-month GeForce NOW Ultimate membership purchase, a way of pushing the annual tier rather than the month-to-month plan. NVIDIA also says 13 games are joining the broader GeForce NOW library this week, on top of the five day-one cloud titles, though it hasn’t published the full list beyond the headline additions.
The bundle also ties into a Community Giveaway running through Gamescom, with more than 40 prizes on offer, including gaming hardware and GeForce NOW Ultimate memberships. NVIDIA hasn’t specified entry terms or a closing date beyond during Gamescom.
DLSS 4.5 controls and wider device support
The DLSS 4.5 update gives GeForce NOW members more granular control over the technology’s frame generation and upscaling behaviour mid-session, rather than relying on whatever a game’s developer chose to bake in. That matters more on a streaming service than on a local GPU: cloud sessions run on hardware members never see, so per-title tuning is the only way members can compensate for a specific network connection or display, rather than reinstalling drivers or hunting through a local settings panel.
Alongside the DLSS controls, NVIDIA is expanding where GeForce NOW runs. New Steam devices get support, widening the hardware pool beyond the Steam Deck to newer Steam-badged handhelds. GOG accounts gain single sign-on, so members can link a GOG library without a separate login screen each session, a step that DRM-free storefront previously needed and other storefronts didn’t. The Firefox browser is now a supported client too, closing a gap for members who weren’t running Chrome or Edge, and more Amazon Fire TV models are covered. None of these are new device categories, GeForce NOW already ran in browsers and on Fire TV, but each addition narrows the list of screens where RTX-powered streaming still doesn’t work.
Our own coverage of NVIDIA’s GeForce Game Ready driver fix for DLSS stutter earlier this year addressed a similar tuning problem on local hardware; the Gamescom controls extend that same instinct, a manual override for the technology, to the cloud.
What to watch this week
The five headline titles and the wider 13-game weekly library update are due to land through this week’s Gamescom window, per NVIDIA’s newsroom post. Members interested in the CONTROL Resonant bundle should check membership terms before committing to the 12-month Ultimate tier, since NVIDIA hasn’t said whether the promotion extends past Gamescom.
